U.S. stock index futures were little changed in late trading Sunday, June 16, ahead of a shortened trading week due to a holiday on Wednesday.
Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 13 points. Futures for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 declined 0.1% and 0.03%, respectively.
Investors are watching May retail sales data, due on Tuesday, as well as home sales data later in the week.
Lennar, Kroger, Darden Restaurants and CarMax will also report quarterly earnings during the week.
During the closing session last week, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 57.94 points, or 0.15%, at the close to 38,589.16 points. The S&P 500 index closed down 2.14 points, or 0.04%, at 5,431.60 points, down from a record high. While the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 21.32 points, or 0.12%, at the close to 17,688.88 points.
The indicators also varied in terms of weekly performance, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell during the week’s trading ending at the end of Friday’s session by 0.54%, while the S&P 500 achieved weekly gains of 1.58%, and the Nasdaq Composite Index rose during the week by 3.24%.
