Dana Gas, listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, announced today that its total production has increased to 70,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, while maintaining this level throughout January 2026.
This was achieved through its main operations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the Arab Republic of Egypt, representing the highest production level the company has achieved since 2018.
The company said in a statement that this achievement represents a significant leap compared to its average production during 2025 of 53.5 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, expecting that this increase will positively impact revenues and profitability starting from the first quarter of 2026.
Dana Gas added that, in cooperation with its partners, it successfully completed the Khor Mor 250 gas expansion project in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq last October, eight months ahead of schedule.
She explained that the project contributed to raising the production capacity of the Khor Mor field by adding 250 million cubic feet per day of gas processing capacity, in addition to increasing the daily production of liquefied petroleum gas and condensates by 460 metric tons and 7,000 barrels respectively, bringing the total daily production capacity of the field to 750 million cubic feet of gas, 22,000 barrels of condensates, and 1,500 tons of liquefied petroleum gas.
She noted that during December 2025, total gas production from the Khor Mor field was increased from 500 million to 700 million standard cubic feet per day, adding about 15,000 barrels of oil equivalent to its net daily production in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
She indicated that production levels in the Khor Mor field will witness an additional increase with the completion of the new pipeline, which is scheduled to enter service at the beginning of the third quarter of 2026, expecting that when it is operational it will contribute to adding about 5,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, raising its total production to more than 75,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
In Egypt, Dana Gas reported that it drilled 4 wells and recompleted 3 additional wells during 2025, contributing to a gradual increase in production of 27 million standard cubic feet per day by the end of the year, along with a significant increase in reserves.
The company confirmed that it plans to drill 7 additional wells during 2026 as part of its approved program, with drilling of the next well, Daffodil, scheduled to begin this January, while evaluation work continues to identify other wells that are candidates for additional maintenance work during the year.
