The net profit of the Emirati company, Emaar Properties, increased by 15 percent in the first half of this year, to reach 4.9 billion dirhams ($ 1.3 billion), benefiting from strong demand for real estate in Dubai and the recovery of tourism and retail sales.
Emaar Properties achieved revenues of 12.3 billion dirhams ($3.3 billion) in the first half of this year, and its real estate sales during this period amounted to 20.2 billion dirhams ($5.5 billion), an annual increase of 14 percent, according to a company statement issued Thursday.
The cumulative sales volume of real estate projects at Emaar Properties amounted to 62.8 billion dirhams ($17.1 billion), which will be recorded as revenues in the coming years, according to the statement.
