On the occasion of the UAE National Day, Dubai Financial Market has decided that the official holiday in the market will be from Monday, December 2, 2024, and official working hours will resume on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
The market said in a statement that the settlement process in the market for trading on Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29, will be after the National Day holiday on Wednesday and Thursday, December 4 and 5, 2024.
He stated that there will be no cash settlement on Monday and Tuesday, December 2 and 3, and cash settlement of derivatives contracts will be moved to Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
The UAE is celebrating the 53rd National Day, commemorating the unification of the seven emirates. According to the UAE Ministry of Human Resources, work in institutions and companies will be suspended on December 2 and 3, corresponding to Monday and Tuesday of next week, and official work will resume on the following working day, Wednesday, December 4.
Human Resources excluded from the decision of the Union Day holiday workers who work on a shift system or whose jobs are related to serving the public or managing public utility services, and employers are left to determine the Union Day holiday; in a way that ensures the smooth running of work.
