The financial statements of Ahli United Bank of Kuwait showed a slight increase in the bank's profits in the first half of this year by 2% on an annual basis.
According to the bank's results for the Kuwaiti Stock Exchange, today, Sunday, the profits for the period amounted to 18.032 million dinars, compared to profits for the first half of 2020 of 17.677 million dinars.
The bank said in a statement to the stock exchange that the increase in profits during the comparative periods is due to the natural growth of the business.
The bank achieved profits of 6.906 million dinars in the second quarter of this year, compared to profits of about 2.369 million dinars for the same period in 2020, a significant increase of 191.6%.
The bank's total operating income in the first half of this year amounted to about 46.337 million dinars, compared to 48.558 million dinars for the same period in 2020, a decrease of 4.6%.
The bank's profits fell 27.3% in the first quarter of this year; To reach 11.13 million dinars, compared to 15.31 million dinars, profits for the same period in 2020.
