The net profits of the state-run Qatar Energy Company jumped in 2022 by 58% on an annual basis to 154.6 billion riyals, supported by the rise in crude oil and liquefied natural gas prices, according to a report issued by the company.
Qatar's total exports of liquefied natural gas last year amounted to about 80 million tons, while the total exports of crude oil and condensates averaged 900 thousand barrels per day.
Qatar Energy is working to increase its production capacity of liquefied natural gas by 64 percent to reach 126 million tons annually by 2027.
