Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has appointed Nureddin Nabati as the country's new minister of treasury and finance after accepting the resignation of Lutfi Elvan.
The Official Gazette announced that Nabati's appointment came in the early hours of Thursday morning, against the background of the sharp drop in the Turkish lira prices by 27% during last November.
