Northern Region Cement Company achieved 78% growth in first quarter 2020 profits to reach 27.6 million riyals, compared to 15.5 million riyals in the same quarter of 2019 .
According to Arabia Net, the company's operating profit in the first quarter was 30.9 million riyals, compared to 27.3 million riyals, in the corresponding period of last year, with a growth of 13.3%.
She said that the increase in net profit during the current quarter compared to the same quarter of the previous year is due to the increase in the amount of sales and other income and the decrease in the financing burden due to the reduction of public debt compared to the previous year. This is despite the high zakat provision.
