US-based Oracle Information Technology has expressed an interest in buying the TikTok business in the United States.
According to Arabiyanet, Oracle will be a potential competitor to Microsoft in its bid to acquire the popular Chinese-owned short video app, according to the Financial Times, citing people. Read about it.
Oracle had initial conversations with TikTok owner ByteDance, and was seriously considering buying the app's business in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, according to For the Financial Times Report.
According to information, the company has also been working with US investors by BitDance and venture capital firms such as General Atlantic and Sequoia Capital.
US President Donald Trump ordered ByteDance to fire the app's business in the United States within 90 days.
Oracle is competing with Microsoft, which is by far the most fortunate to acquire the US operations of Tik Tok, knowing that Twitter has also expressed its interest in purchasing it.
