Ukraine's Ministry of Agriculture has announced a fertilizer export ban due to Russia's invasion of the country.
Ukraine is one of the world's major producers of agricultural products, especially fertilizers.
Ukraine had already banned the export of some agricultural commodities and decided to issue licenses for key export commodities, including wheat, corn and sunflower oil.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture said the ban would help maintain a balance in the local market, and would be applied to nitrogenous, phosphorous, potash and blended fertilizers.
