Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange decided to temporarily close the trading floor at its main headquarters, starting today, as well as all trading halls of its branches in the various Emirates, in a preventive step to face the repercussions Corona virus spread.


According to Al-Bayan newspaper, Khalifa Salem Al Mansouri, CEO of Abu Dhabi Securities Market, said: In light of the recent public health developments taking place in the world, we have decided to temporarily close the main trading floor of the market in its headquarters in Abu Dhabi and its branches in other Emirates temporarily where we follow closely and first hand all developments Global Health, and we are ready to take further action if necessary gradually upward in harmony with any emergency variables that may arise.


Al-Mansouri explained that this decision will remain in effect until the global health conditions return to their nature, and in accordance with international, regional and local health variables, stressing that this decision is consistent with preventive measures in the UAE in general and in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in particular, and in line with the recommendations of the World Health Organization ( WHO) to stay away from crowded gathering places, to reduce the possibility of any health risks spread.


Al-Mansouri added that this decision comes out of the market’s belief in upholding the health interests of investors above all considerations, which prompted us to direct the attention of all customers, investors and parties directly related to investing in the market by notifying them of the decision to temporarily close the trading floor, knowing that trading operations in the market will not be affected by this step And that investors can still trade as usual through the many channels provided by the market for this purpose, whether traditional or digital.
