According to Arab Net, the company said in a statement that this requires a precautionary measure of a non-scheduled stop of the plant, and the incident did not result in any human injuries.


It added that this temporary suspension did not affect the company's ability to produce phosphates or fulfill its obligations towards its customers, the preliminary estimates of the financial impact of this suspension indicate that limited and no substantive impact.


Ma'aden said: The company is currently working to estimate the period necessary to restore, and appreciation of the financial impact of this uncontrolled, and the company will complete the final estimates of declaring and the impact of this suspension and any other developments.


It is worth mentioning that Ma'aden for phosphate is a joint venture between Saudi Arabia Mineral Mining Company and Saudi Basic Industries Company SABIC 70% for metals and 30% for SABIC.
