Sources told the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai that there is a Saudi-Kuwaiti agreement to stop the production of the Al-Khafji joint area between the two countries.

The sources stated that the suspension will take effect from June 1, 2020.

She explained that the stoppage comes in light of the Gulf countries heading for an additional reduction in production for an initial month.

The sources said that the stopping of production is estimated at 80 thousand barrels per day, of which 40 thousand barrels are the share of Kuwait.
