The authority indicated that the rise in the transport group had an impact on the rise in annual inflation, given its weight in the index.

It stated that the food and beverage group rose by 1.4% in October, due to a 1.5% increase in food prices year-on-year.

The authority monitored a 1.2% increase in the communications group, affected by the 2.3% increase in the prices of telephone and fax services, while the education group recorded a 4.8% increase amid the rise in the prices of intermediate and secondary education. By 13.6%.

The prices of the restaurants and hotels group increased by 1.5%, affected by the increase in the prices of hotel services and furnished apartments by 3.9%, in addition to the increase in entertainment prices by 1.2% due to the pressure of rising Prices of audio-visual equipment, photographic equipment and information processing at a rate of 2.5%.

On the other hand, the clothing and footwear group recorded a decline of 1.6 percent, affected by a decrease in clothing prices by 1.2 percent, while the prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels declined by 2.6 percent. %.

On a monthly basis, the October CPI rose 0.2%.

The monthly inflation index was affected by the rise in education by 3.9%, and restaurants and hotels by 1.1%.

Transportation prices decreased by 0.5% month-on-month, as were food and beverages by 0.4%, and health by 0.3%.

On the other hand, the prices of communications services, entertainment and culture, and various personal goods and services did not register any change in October compared to the previous month.
