The market value of the Arab financial markets recorded an increase of about 0.40 percent at the end of the week ending on the twenty-eighth of July 2023, compared to the end of the week ending on the twenty-first of July 2023.

The weekly bulletin of Arab financial markets issued by the Arab Monetary Fund indicated that this is the result of an increase in eight Arab stock exchanges, compared to a decline in five other stock exchanges.

The Beirut Stock Exchange led the rise recorded at the level of market capitalization by 5.64 percent, and the stock exchanges of Casablanca, Qatar and Damascus recorded an increase of about 2.38, 3.66 and 5.26 percent, respectively.

While the stock exchanges of Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Saudi Arabia witnessed an improvement of less than one percent.

The value of Arab financial markets trading improved by about 0.13 percent, as a result of an increase in trading value in nine Arab stock exchanges, compared to a decrease in five other stock exchanges.

In this regard, the Beirut Stock Exchange recorded the largest increases in the trading value by about 222.23 percent, and the stock exchanges of Kuwait, Dubai, Bahrain and Palestine witnessed an increase of about 43.39, 51.04, 77.37 and 111.10 percent, respectively.

On the other hand, the stock exchanges of Amman, Abu Dhabi, Egypt and Qatar recorded an improvement in rates ranging between 20.45 and 38.28 percent.

The trading volume of Arab stock exchanges included in the Arab Monetary Fund database declined by about 14.85 percent, as a result of a decrease in four Arab stock exchanges, compared to an increase in eleven other Arab stock exchanges.

In this context, the Bahrain Stock Exchange led the Arab stock exchanges in terms of trading volume by 131.81 percent, and the Beirut Stock Exchange witnessed an increase of about 121.62 percent.

The stock exchanges of Abu Dhabi, Casablanca, Palestine and Muscat recorded increases ranging between 53.08 and 71.96 percent, while the stock exchanges of Amman, Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai and Egypt witnessed increases ranging between 13.47 and 37.74 percent.

The Composite Index of the Arab Monetary Fund for the Arab financial markets during the week ending on the twenty-eighth of July 2023 recorded an increase of about 0.42 percent, equivalent to 2.06 percentage points, to reach about 489.33 points, compared to its level recorded on the twenty-first of July 2023.
