Foreign investors recorded net buying during their dealings in the Saudi stock market, Tadawul, in the week ending on June 22, compared to recording net selling on the part of Saudi and Gulf investors.

And the weekly report of the Saudi Tadawul Company, issued today, Monday, showed that foreign investors recorded net purchases of 774 million riyals, compared to net sales to Saudis of 695.39 million riyals, and 78.63 million riyals net sales to Gulf nationals.

The total purchases of foreigners amounted to 4.62 billion riyals, representing 16.03% of the total purchases in the market during the week, compared to sales amounting to 3.85 billion riyals, equivalent to 13.35% of the total sales.

Qualified investors supported foreign transactions last week by recording a net purchase of 722.9 million riyals, and resident investors recorded a net purchase of about 55.31 million riyals, while swap agreements recorded a net sale of about 3.28 million riyals.

On the other hand, the Saudis’ purchases during the past week ending on June 22, 2023 amounted to about 23.92 billion riyals, equivalent to 83% of all investors’ purchases of shares listed in the general index of the Saudi stock market, compared to sales amounting to 24.62 billion riyals, representing 85.33% of purchases. The Saudis’ transactions were affected by institutional sales, with a net sale of 915 million riyals, as a result of a difference in purchases amounting to 3.02 billion riyals, compared to sales of 3.94 billion riyals.

On the other hand, individual purchases amounted to about 20.90 billion riyals, compared to sales worth 20.68 billion riyals, with a net purchase value of 219.64 million riyals.

On the Gulf side, their total purchases amounted to 301.47 million riyals, compared to sales of 380.10 million riyals.

The general index of the market, the Tassi, recorded a decline of 0.5%, in the week ending on June 22, 2023, which is the last week of June, before the Eid al-Adha holiday, with a loss of 57.16 points, which fell to the level of 11,458.98 points, compared to 11,516.14 points in the previous week.

Market capital decreased by about 54.86 billion riyals during the week, bringing the market value of shares listed on Tadawul to 10.907 trillion riyals, compared to 10.962 trillion riyals at the end of last week.
