US stocks jumped on Tuesday, supported by optimism that the Trump administration may move to ease closures linked to measures to curb the spread of the Corona virus.

The stringent precautionary measures to contain the Corona pandemic in the United States have cast a shadow over troubling earnings reports from JPMorgan and Wells Fargo bankers.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the trading session yesterday on Wall Street, up 560.43 points or 2.4% to 23951.20 points.

The broader S & P 500 also rose 84.12 points, or 3.05%, to close at 2845.75 points.

The Nasdaq Composite Index closed 323.32 points or 3.95% to 8515.74 points.
