The United Arab Emirates topped the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in 2021, at the level of the Information and Communication Technology Use Index, which measures the rate of penetration of the Internet and communication services.< /p>

The UAE scored 5.43 points in the index, followed by Kuwait with 3.74 points, Saudi Arabia with 3.64 points, Qatar with 3.62 points, followed by the Sultanate of Oman with 3.64 points. 3.49 points, then the Kingdom of Bahrain in sixth place with 3.38 points.

The report attributed the UAE's first place to the top of the four sub-indices, where it topped the index of the number of Internet users by 100%, and the index of the number of mobile phone subscribers by 185.78%. The index of the number of fixed broadband subscriptions by 32.81%, and the index of the number of mobile broadband subscriptions by 224.24%.
