The UAE Cabinet approved the country's budget for the years 2023-2026, with total expenditures estimated at 252.3 billion dirhams, and total revenues amounting to about 255.7 billion dirhams.

The announcement of the UAE budget for the years 2023-2026 was made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on his official Twitter account, yesterday, Monday.

According to an infographic published by the UAE Government Media Office, the expenditures for the year 2023 alone are about 63.07 billion dirhams, while the expected revenues for the year are about 63.6 billion dirhams.

This represents a growth in expenditures during 2023 by 3.9%, and a growth in revenues of up to 11%, according to the official Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The expenditures approved by the UAE in the 2022 budget amounted to 58.9 billion dirhams, while revenues amounted to 56.7 billion dirhams.

Last June, the UAE Federal National Council, which is the legislative authority in the country, prepared a draft law to approve a supplementary budget for the 2022 fiscal year that includes additional expenditures of 1.23 billion dirhams, and it expected an increase in revenues by about 374.98 million dirhams.
