The UAE has officially requested that the Expo 2020 Dubai, which was scheduled to start next October, be postponed due to the repercussions of the spread of the Corona virus worldwide.
According to the newspaper, the UAE, in a letter to the Paris-based International Exhibition Center, proposed October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 as new dates for the exhibition.
The International Bureau of Exhibitions announced in a statement that a final decision on changing the date requires the approval of a two-thirds majority of the 170 member countries of the International Bureau of Exhibitions when it meets on April 21 remotely.
Expo 2020 organizers said on Monday that they support a proposal by participating countries to postpone the fair year.

Regarding tickets purchased before March 30th, she said that these tickets will retain their full value, but they will be reissued to preserve the validity of the new Expo dates. Once a final decision is received from the International Exhibitions Bureau regarding the postponement of the exhibition, ticket owners will be contacted directly and notified of updates on tickets that should Reissued, as well as information on how to request a refund if they are unable to attend the fair during the new appointments.
