The foreign reserve at the Qatar Central Bank grew during December 2023 by 6.92% on an annual basis to $67.6 billion.
The increase in international reserves and liquidity in foreign currency at the Qatari Central Bank last month - to the highest level ever - supported the increase in official reserves to 51.4 billion dollars, driven by an increase in the value of investment in foreign treasury bonds to about 36.8 billion dollars.
Gold possessions increased by 24.5% to $6.7 billion, in addition to an increase in balances in foreign banks by 53.5%, reaching about $6.55 billion.
