Saudi Arabia's GDP at constant prices recorded a decrease of 4.6% during the third quarter of 2020 year on year, according to preliminary estimates.

The General Authority for Statistics in the Kingdom stated in its quarterly report issued on Thursday that this decline is largely due to a decrease in growth in the oil sector by 8.2% and a decrease in the non-oil sector About 2.1%.

The private sector recorded a decrease of 3.1%, while the government sector achieved positive growth of 0.5% on an annual basis.

The Saudi economy grew by 1.8% in the third quarter of 2020, compared to the previous quarter of the same year, driven by growth in the private sector.
