Health, in cooperation and coordination with the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, reviewed the preliminary results of the third phase trials conducted by the company, which showed the effectiveness of the vaccine by 86% against infection with the virus.

The data also showed that there were no concerns related to the safety of the vaccine for all recipients.

It is reported that the ministry decided last September to provide the vaccine under an emergency use license in order to protect frontline workers, as they are most at risk of infection with Covid 19.

The UAE has studied the clinical results after licensing the emergency use of the safety and efficacy of the vaccine, as ongoing studies have shown results similar to those of the third phase.
