A fire broke out in oil waste in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area, and the Dubai government announced its control, explaining that the civil defense teams in Dubai dealt with the fire, and there were no injuries.

According to Arabiya Net, the media office of the Government of Dubai has published pictures of the efforts of the civil defense teams in dealing with the accident, and it is worth noting that the Jebel Ali area is 30 km from downtown Dubai to the west towards the capital Abu Dhabi.

The office mentioned part of the civil defense team's efforts in dealing with a fire in a dump of oil waste in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area, an area far from the existing factories in the area. No injuries were recorded as a result of this accident, and the thick smoke seen in the area was caused by the burning of oily materials.

This area has been designated to build one of the world's largest ports, Jebel Ali Port, and has one of the largest aluminum factories in the Middle East. This area has expanded to connect with Dubai.

The Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) is one of the world's leading free trade zones. The free zone was established in 1985 and is a company owned by DP World with the aim of promoting trade and supporting container handling volumes at Jebel Ali Port. It is one of the largest free zones in the world and the most efficient logistics center in the region.

Jafza contributes about 23.9% of the total FDI inflow to Dubai. The free zone contributes to 23.8% of Dubai's GDP and supports the employment of more than 150,000 people in the UAE. In 2017, Jafza's trade volume reached $93 billion.
