According to Arabia Net, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Health and Population in Egypt have conducted clinical trials to determine the effectiveness of a group of medications used, including faviravira in Treatment of (Covid-19) patients, in addition, favi-pavir was used in experimental treatment for (Covid-19) patients and also in clinical trials in Japan, China, Italy and Russia, while the Russian Ministry of Health approved the use of favi-drug in hospitals as the first country to authorize its use Officially in the treatment of patients (Covid-19).
Avijan is an anti-viral drug developed by Toyama Chemical, a subsidiary of Fujifilm of Japan, which contains the active ingredient faviravir and the methylated drug of the brand name Avigane in Japan, where it was given to some Those infected with the virus during clinical trials, which helps to prevent the proliferation of the virus inside the cell, and clinical trials in different countries have demonstrated the success of the drug in controlling the virus within 4-6 days of its use.
