Data from the UAE Central Bank revealed that bank assets in the country increased by 5.5% at the end of last April, on an annual basis.
The total assets of banks in the UAE at the end of the period amounted to about 3.345 trillion dirhams, while the total assets increased by 8.4 billion dirhams compared to March 2022.
According to the Central Bank's data, bank deposits rose to 2.008 trillion dirhams at the end of April 2022, a growth of 7% on an annual basis, while they rose by 2.2 billion dirhams compared to the previous month.
Total credit rose to 1.817 trillion dirhams at the end of April 2022, an increase of 3.1% compared to the same period in 2021, while it decreased by 0.8% compared to last March.
