Informed sources told Reuters that Dubai Islamic Bank had delayed the issuance of dollar-denominated sukuk that it was planning to issue due to market turmoil caused by the spread of the Corona virus.
A document on February 20 showed that Dubai Islamic Bank, the largest Islamic bank in the UAE, assigned banks to arrange the issuance of sukuk last month.
One of the sources said that the bank was planning to raise financing - likely to reach $ 750 million - on February 26, but decided to wait for improved market conditions.
