Abu Dhabi recorded a growth of 0.5% in non-oil foreign trade during the month of January to reach a total value of about 19.3 billion dirhams, compared to 19.2 billion dirhams in January of 2019.


According to the Emirates News Agency, the export trade of non-oil commodities witnessed a good activity during last January as it reached approximately 5.49 billion dirhams, an increase of 0.4% compared to 5.47 billion dirhams in January 2019, according to the latest figures released today by the Statistics Center - Abu Dhabi.

On the level of imports, it amounted to approximately 10 billion dirhams in January, an increase of 5.8%, compared to 9.45 billion dirhams in the same month of 2019 .. As for the level of re-export trade, it amounted to approximately 3.81 billion dirhams in January. p>


Statistics center figures showed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to top the first place in the list of most countries trading with Abu Dhabi during the year 2019, as the value of trade exchange between the two sides reached 4.08 billion dirhams, constituting 21.1% of the total trade of the emirate during the month of January.


China came in second place with a value of 1.757 billion dirhams last January, then the United States of America with 1.35 billion dirhams, the United Kingdom 881 million dirhams and Japan 884 million dirhams.


The industrial supplies came first in the list of the most exported commodities, as their value during January reached 4.43 billion dirhams, while the value of food and beverage exports amounted to 495 million dirhams, about 346 million dirhams for consumer goods and 142 million dirhams for productive goods, and the remainder was distributed over other exports.


In the re-export trade, transportation equipment and accessories came first with a value of 1.9 billion dirhams, then consumer goods amounted to 579 million dirhams, followed by productive goods with a value of approximately 600 million dirhams.


On the import side, the industrial supplies trade came first with a value of 4.28 billion dirhams .. While the value of imports of productive goods reached 2.28 billion dirhams, about 2.24 billion dirhams for transport equipment, 654 million dirhams for productive goods and 477 million dirhams for food and beverages.


It is noteworthy that, according to the standards established by the Statistics Center, non-oil merchandise trade is limited to goods that entered only from the land, sea and air outlets of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi or exited from them, which means that they do not represent all of Abu Dhabi's non-oil trade with the world.
