The volume of Chinese foreign trade decreased by 11% year on year during the first two months of 2020 to reach $ 591.99 billion, according to statistics showed by the General Administration of Customs today, Saturday.

This is the first time that the administration has disclosed such figures since the outbreak of the new Corona virus in China last December.

Exports decreased by 17.2% and imports by 4% compared to January and February of last year, to settle at 292.45 billion dollars and 299.54 dollars, respectively.

A statement from the Customs Administration stated that the decrease is mainly due to the effects of the corona virus outbreak and the Spring Festival holiday.
