The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, on Sunday issued an 11-hour curfew as of Monday evening to curb the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid 19) .

According to WAS, curfews will be implemented according to the royal order starting from 7 pm until six in the morning Saudi time, for a period of 21 days.

The agency noted that this comes out of what King Salman attaches to a great concern for the health and safety of citizens and residents to limit the spread of the virus.

She explained that the royal order stipulated that the Ministry of Interior take what is necessary to implement the curfew and that all civil and military authorities cooperate fully with the Ministry of Interior in this regard. p>

The exception is the curfew for employees of the vital sectors of the public and private sectors whose work requires continuing to perform during the period of the prohibition and this includes employees of the security, military and media sectors and workers in the health sectors The sensitive service, for which a detailed statement is issued by the Ministry of Interior, taking into account that this is in the narrowest scope and in accordance with the procedures and controls set by the concerned authority.

The royal order included the authorities concerned urging citizens to stay in their homes during the next period, especially the period of curfew and not going out except in cases of extreme necessity in the period in which the prohibition does not apply As preserving public health has become one of the most important duties for the people of this country and those residing on its land, and they must fulfill their duty to stay in their homes and not to expose themselves and their countries to the risk of this pandemic spreading.

The Saudi Ministry of Health had announced earlier yesterday that it had recorded 119 new cases of the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19), bringing the total infections in the Kingdom so far to 511 cases.
