The real estate market in Dubai witnessed the highest sales volumes in the first quarter in history, with more than 19,000 transactions recorded, according to the American CBRE Real Estate Services


According to Arabiya Net, the group said that the only period that witnessed higher volumes was in the second and third quarters of 2009.

She added that there is a high demand for residential homes from residents and international buyers, including Russians.

The group's data showed an increase in average housing prices by 11.3% on an annual basis until the end of last March, as the average prices of apartments increased by 10 percent and villas by 20%.
