Dubai allowed public parks and beaches of hotels to be opened to guests, in light of the gradual relaxation of restrictions to combat the Corona virus. According to Reuters, Dubai, the largest emirate in the country, by April 24, had eased the full curfew and made it only for eight hours in April. The night allowed restaurants and shopping malls to open again with limited capacity. The Emirates News Agency said late on Tuesday that it was decided to open public parks to the public without allowing any gatherings of more than five individuals. Hotels were also allowed to reopen their private beaches only to inmates, according to strict precautions, the most important of which was the spacing between people. The tram and marine transport trips will also be resumed and sport and recreational activities will be allowed in the open spaces only, so that the number of individuals does not exceed five. Mosques, cinemas, public beaches and nightclubs will remain closed.
Other emirates followed Dubai's example in easing restrictions. In Abu Dhabi, the capital of the Emirates, some shopping centers have resumed operations, and the Emirate of Sharjah has reopened shopping centers and restaurants.
The UAE has registered 19661 HIV infections and 203 deaths so far, and it is the second highest death toll among the six Arab Gulf states. Do not disclose the outcome in each emirate separately. Like the other Arab Gulf states, the UAE intensified screening after the outbreak of the disease accelerated among low-wage migrants living in overcrowded housing. The UAE announced on Tuesday the start of a free examination of all its citizens, domestic workers, as well as people with disabilities, pregnant women, and residents over the age of 50.
