The share of Multipleplay, listed on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, rose during the first moments of trading today, Wednesday, coinciding with the announcement of the acquisition of a minority stake in Brickwater Energy.
And by 10.13 am Emirates time, the stock rose 0.3 percent, reaching a price of 3.32 dirhams.
The stock has so far recorded 1.535 million shares trading at a value of 5.097 million dirhams.
The company stated in a statement today, Wednesday, that the value of the acquisition amounted to 367 million dirhams, equivalent to 100 million dollars.
EIG, an institutional investor in the energy and infrastructure sectors, acquired a 25 percent stake in Repsol E&P through Brickwater Energy.
Repsol E&P is engaged in the exploration, extraction and exploration of oil and gas globally.
