The global Shell company, Shell, and the Asiad Holding Group, signed an agreement to open fuel stations bearing the brand of Shell in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy.
The Ministry of Energy said, in a statement, that the first fuel stations are expected to open in the fourth quarter of this year 2023 AD in the city of Riyadh.
The Ministry of Energy added that this agreement is the result of the efforts of the permanent executive committee for service centers and gas stations headed by the Ministry of Energy and with the membership of: the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Information, and the Ministry of Commerce. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, aiming to develop the sector of service centers and gas stations, through the entry of the largest international companies to participate in this sector by developing highly efficient development policies, programs and transformation plans that contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. .
The Ministry of Energy had signed a cooperation agreement with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises this year; This is to enable investors to obtain the right of commercial concession from qualified establishments with the aim of improving the level of competition, achieving the Ministry's objectives to ensure the security and reliability of supplies and improving the structure of the sector.
