Volkswagen Group withdrew its forecast for 2020 after operating profit fell 81% in the first quarter due to the fallout from the Corona Virus.


According to Reuters, operating profit fell to 0.9 billion euros, which is an 81% decrease from 4.84 billion last year.


Volkswagen said that forecasts for the whole year could no longer be fulfilled.


Volkswagen now expects 55 billion euros (59.83 billion dollars) in first-quarter revenue, down 8% from 60.01 billion euros in the same period last year.


Volkswagen will release full business results for the first quarter on April 29, 2020.
