A report issued by the General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia showed that the consumer price index index in the Kingdom increased by 1.6 percent during last February, on an annual basis.
The authority said that the rise in the index last February was due to the rise in the transportation prices section by 4.3%, and the prices of food and beverages by 2.4%.
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index in the Kingdom increased by 0.3% during the past month, noting that the index had risen by 1.2% in January.
