The bulletin indicated that the value of Egyptian exports rose 50.5% last August; To reach $3.26 billion, compared to $2.17 billion during the comparison period, due to an increase in exports of ready-made garments, plastics, fertilizers, pasta and food preparations.
At the same time, the value of imports increased by 8.2%, reaching 6.17 billion dollars during August 2021, compared to 5.70 billion dollars in the same month of 2020, affected by an increase in imports. The value of imports of petroleum, crude petroleum, medicines, pharmaceutical preparations, and raw materials of iron or steel.
