Crypto.com is trying to recover about A$10.5 million ($7.2 million) that was mistakenly transferred to a Melbourne woman.
According to Arab Net, a portion of it has already been spent, including on a five-bedroom property worth A$1.35 million in a Melbourne suburb.
The company discovered during an audit in December that it had made a mistake in processing the A$100 refund seven months earlier, according to court documents. An account number was mistakenly entered in the payment amount field, according to court documents cited by Bloomberg and seen by Al Arabiya.net.
The Victorian High Court ordered that the house, which had been bought by the woman's sister, be sold and the money returned to the company.
The case is expected to return to court in October.
