Nama Chemicals announced the suspension of the caustic soda pellet plant (the subsidiary's soda plant), effective September 14, 2020.

The company said in a statement to the Saudi Market (Tadawul) today, Tuesday, that the suspension is expected to last for about (20) days.

and explained that the purpose of the suspension is to carry out regular maintenance work during the downtime.

and the company indicated that the factory is expected to return to production as of next October 4th.

It should be noted that the suspension is part of the annual plan approved for this year to carry out periodic maintenance work.

The necessary precautions have been taken to mitigate the impact of this stoppage towards the company's customers, as sufficient stock has been built to fulfill the company's obligations towards its customers.

It is expected that the financial impact of this halt will be limited by the approved maintenance budget of 1.8 million riyals.

and the company confirmed that any substantial developments in this regard will be announced later.
