The General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia announced that the Kingdom's economy grew in the third quarter of this year by 6.8%, on an annual basis.

The authority said in a statement, today, Tuesday, that the growth achieved in the third quarter is the highest for the Saudi economy since 2012.

This positive growth is due to the 9% increase in oil activities; As a result of the increase in global demand for crude oil, and the Kingdom's resumption of raising its production in 2021.

The authority indicated that, according to its rapid estimates, non-oil activities registered an increase of 6.2%, and government activities increased by 2.7%.

The seasonally adjusted real GDP reached 5.8% in the third quarter of 2021, compared to the second quarter of the same year; As a result of the significant growth in oil activities by 12.9%, in addition to an increase in non-oil activities by 1.6%, government activities also achieved a growth rate of 1.4%.
