The US company Cassia, which provides several companies with an information technology management service, was subjected to a cyber attack Friday that required more than 1,000 companies using its system to pay ransom, forcing a series of Well-known stores in Sweden have temporarily closed all of their approximately 800 stores in the country.

The company announced Friday evening that the attack was limited to fewer than 40 of its customers worldwide. However, these clients in turn provide services to other companies.

The attack affected more than a thousand companies, according to the cybersecurity company Huntress Labs.
