Burgan Bank of Kuwait announced that it achieved profits of 40.28 million dinars in the first nine months of this year, an increase of 24% over its counterpart last year, which amounted to 32.58 million dinars.

The bank said in a statement to the Kuwait Stock Exchange, today, Wednesday, that the increase in profits during the comparison periods is mainly due to the decrease in the provisions charged for loans and advances.

The bank's total operating income for the first nine months of this year amounted to about 166.61 million dinars, compared to 164.55 million dinars, profits for the same period in 2020, an increase of 1% .

The bank achieved profits of 16,256 million dinars in the third quarter of this year, compared to profits of 9.829 million dinars for the same period in 2020, an increase of 65.4%.< /p>
