The Saudi National Shipping Company (Maritime) achieved a growth of 133.77% in the profits for the first quarter of 2020 to reach 419.2 million riyals, compared to 179.33 million riyals, in First Quarter 2019.

According to ArabiaNet, the quarterly profit increased by 68.3%, compared to the previous quarter’s profit of 249.08 million riyals.

Al-Bahri achieved an operating profit of 419.22 million riyals, compared to 377.18 million riyals in the corresponding period of 2019, a growth of 34%.

Al-Bahri attributed the growth of its profits on an annual basis to the high returns from several operating sectors supported by the growth achieved in the transport sector of crude oil due to the high rates of transport prices, in addition to the increase in transportation operations during the first quarter of the year.

She said that the decrease in financing expenses, as well as recording profits from the group's share of investments in associates, compared to realized losses during the same quarter of the previous year contributed to increasing the net profit for the group.
