The National Mobile Telecommunications Company (Ooredoo Kuwait) announced profits last year of 19.25 million dinars, equivalent to $64 million, a significant increase of 468% on a basis Annual.

The company said in a statement to the Kuwait Stock Exchange, today, Sunday, that the increase in profits during the comparison periods is mainly due to the improvement in operational and financial revenues, in addition to the continuous focus on cost improvement. .

The company's financial statements showed a slight increase in the total operating income last year by 2% to 601.732 million dinars, compared to 592.836 million dinars in 2020.

The company turned profitable in the fourth quarter of last year, with a value of 5.829 million dinars, compared to losses for the same period in 2020 of 2.476 million dinars.

The company's board of directors recommended distributing cash dividends to shareholders for the year 2021 at 35% of the nominal value of the share, at 35 fils per share.

The Board also approved the invitation of the Company's Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly to convene on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
