International oil prices fell during Monday's trading, following the Ukrainian President's statements regarding talks with the Russian side regarding the current war between the two countries.

Volodymyr Zelensky said that talks with the Russian side have achieved tangible developments regarding the current conflict.

Zelensky's chief adviser confirmed that continuous talks are being held with the Russian side via video technology, while Russian President Vladimir Putin has communicated with his French and German counterparts after they spoke with Zelensky.

On the other hand, the increase in coronavirus infections in China is raising concerns about global oil demand, while senior advisers to US President Joe Biden are working to increase pressure on China to impose Sanctions imposed by the United States and its European and Asian allies on the Russian economy.

In terms of trading, Brent crude futures for May delivery fell today by 2.1% to reach $110.30 a barrel.

The US NYMEX crude contracts for April delivery also fell 2.44% at $106.66 a barrel.
