The UAE financial markets continued their positive performance and rose in the middle of trading on Monday, amid declining expectations that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next month.
According to trading data, the Dubai Financial Market recorded an increase to 5,887.48 points, gains of 1.84 points or 0.031%, amid liquidity of 223.62 million dirhams through a trading volume of 84.505 million shares through 6,818 transactions.
Union Properties' stock topped the list of the most rising stocks with a 10.011% increase, while Alec Holding's stock declined by 2.075%. Emaar Properties' stock led trading in value with AED 87.325 million, and the stock led in trading requests by volume with 18.519 million shares.
The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index recorded an increase of 13.18 points to reach a level of 10060.39 points, a rise of 0.131%, with a trading value of AED 470.645 million and a volume of 119.076 million shares across 11,111 transactions.
Abu Dhabi Ports shares topped the list of highest gainers with a 14.902% increase, while Dar Al Takaful shares declined by 4.412%. ADNOC Gas shares led in terms of value and volume, recording AED 65.623 million and 65.623 million shares.
