Today, Monday, the State of Kuwait announced the issuance of an Emiri order appointing General Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as the new Prime Minister of Kuwait.
The Emiri decree stipulates that Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf is tasked with nominating the members of the new ministry and presenting their names to the Emir of Kuwait to issue a decree appointing them.
Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was born in Kuwait in 1956. He is the son of the Emir of the country, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Ahmed obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Kuwait University, and progressed through military positions until he reached the rank of first lieutenant general.
In March 2022, an Emiri decree was issued appointing Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
