German industrial production rose less than expected in May, official data showed, as supply chain problems caused by the war in Ukraine and COVID-19-related shutdowns in China made it difficult to process orders.


According to Arab Net, the Federal Statistics Office said that industrial output rose 0.2% on a monthly basis, after an upwardly revised growth of 1.3% in April.


A Reuters poll indicated that industrial production grew by 0.4% in May 2022.


And the data of the Federal Statistics Office indicated that orders for industrial goods increased 0.1% on a monthly basis, according to seasonally adjusted data, after a decrease of 1.8% in April, adjusted by increase.
