The industrial production index in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia increased by 5.8% in August, compared to the same month in 2020.
The General Authority for Statistics in the Kingdom said that the increase came as a result of the increase in production in mining and quarrying activity by 6.5%, especially that its record weight in the index is 74.5%, This is because the Kingdom raised oil production from 8.9 million barrels per day in August 2020 to 9.5 million barrels per day in August 2021.
On a monthly basis, the performance of the industrial production index increased by 3.6% in August 2021, compared to the previous month, and the production of mining and quarrying activity increased by 1 % compared to the previous month, and the production of manufacturing activity increased by 13% compared to July 2021.
