The industrial production index increased by 11.9% in June 2021 compared to the same month of the previous year, according to data from the Saudi General Authority for Statistics
According to Arabiya Net, the authority stated that this is a result of the increase in production in mining and quarrying activity by 19.3%, and its record weight in the index is 74.5%, after the Kingdom increased Oil production from 7.4 million barrels per day in June 2020 to 8.9 million barrels per day in June 2021.
The production of manufacturing activity also decreased in June of 2021 by 4.2% compared to the same month of the previous year.
The production in the electricity and gas supply activity also decreased by 10.9% compared to the same month of 2020, but due to the low weight of this activity in the index, which is 2.9%, it had no A significant impact on the industrial production index during the month of June 2021.
The authority stated that the index of industrial production quantities increased by 3.6% in June 2021, compared to the previous month of 2021.
